WHAT FIELD TESTS ARE AVAILABLE?
Field-testing will be conducted in the following fields:
- Assessment of Professional Teaching: Birth to Grade 3
- Assessment of Professional Teaching: Grades K–9

- Assessment of Professional Teaching: Grades 6–12
- Assessment of Professional Teaching: Grades K–12

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE FIELD TEST?
Field-testing will be conducted at the following test sites for the ICTS administrations on
March 8 and June 7, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (no admittance to the field-test room after 5:00 p.m.). You can take a
field test before or after your assigned test session, depending upon your scheduled testing time and the number of tests
for which you are registered.

FIELD-TEST INFORMATION
The field test consists of completing multiple-choice questions and/or constructed-response
assignments. A field-test form will take about one hour to complete. Participants may complete multiple field-test forms.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO TAKE A FIELD TEST?
All examinees at the ICTS administrations on March 8 and June 7, 2008, are eligible to
take the Basic Skills field test. APT field tests can be taken by examinees registered to take an APT operational test.
ARE FIELD-TEST SCORES RELEASED?
Because information from the field test will be used to evaluate the test questions, score
information will not be provided to participants or institutions. Field-test results will be analyzed as group data only
and will be kept confidential.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF PARTICIPATING IN THE FIELD TEST?
For each field-test form completed, participants will receive a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card
or a $25 voucher toward future ICTS test registration fees. Participants will also acquire valuable practice in taking the
ICTS tests and will help ensure the quality of the testing program for future educator candidates.

To take a field test, please go to the room(s) designated at your site for this purpose.
